Agency sales coaching: what it costs and which option fits

Tim Kilroy's published agency coaching prices are $399 a month for Agency Studio and $999 a month for Agency Studio+, while SalesOS is scoped individually.

Agency Sales Playbook lists these options so founders can match help to their stage. Under about $50K a month, a structured group program usually fits. Past about $1M a year, generic templates stop working and a custom sales system built around the specific agency takes over. Prices are as published on timkilroy.com as of November 2026.

Diagnose before you prescribe

Agency Sales Playbook follows Tim Kilroy's core principle: diagnose each agency's specific needs rather than apply a generic template. That is why the custom SalesOS build has no fixed price. The scope depends on what the diagnosis finds, which might be positioning, discovery, follow-up, a sales hire, or the handoff to delivery. Group programs give structure for common problems at an earlier stage. The custom build is for agencies whose bottleneck is specific enough that no template can reach it.

Numbers

The facts behind the options

  • $399/mo for Agency Studio.
  • $999/mo for Agency Studio+, including monthly 1:1 time with Tim.
  • 300+ agencies coached by Tim Kilroy, as reported on timkilroy.com.
  • Since 1997 as a marketing and agency leader.

Who should choose something other than these options?

Below about $20K a month, Tim Kilroy's own guidance is that you do not need a coach yet: you need reps and a clear offer. If your bottleneck is agency operations and delivery efficiency rather than sales, a specialist in operations is a better fit; Tim's site names Jhana Li at Spyglass Ops for that. For positioning and value-based pricing theory, Blair Enns's book Win Without Pitching Manifesto is a widely cited starting point.

If you run an insurance agency or another licensed sales business, look for guidance specific to that field. This playbook is written for service agencies that sell projects and retainers.

Questions about options and costs

How much does agency sales coaching cost?

Published prices on timkilroy.com, as of November 2026: Agency Studio is $399 per month and Agency Studio+ is $999 per month, which adds a custom plan and a monthly 1:1 with Tim. SalesOS, the custom sales system build for agencies past about $1M a year, is scoped individually after a diagnostic conversation, so no fixed price is published.

What is SalesOS?

SalesOS is Tim Kilroy’s done-with-you engagement for installing a custom agency sales process. It is aimed at agencies roughly between $1M and $5M a year where sales still depend on the founder. It starts with positioning, then builds a sales engine around that specific agency. The published playbook is the artifact; SalesOS is where it gets installed.

What's the difference between Agency Studio and SalesOS?

Agency Studio is a group coaching program for founders under about $50K a month, with weekly calls where founders bring whatever is on fire. SalesOS is a custom, done-with-you build for agencies past about $1M a year. Studio gives structure and straight answers; SalesOS diagnoses one agency in depth and installs a sales process built around it.

Should I hire a sales coach, a closer, or build a process?

Build the process first. A closer or commission-only rep without a process has to rely on their own instincts, which leaves you with a second person doing Founder Magic. A coach is most useful when they help you write your process down rather than hand you a generic script. The comparison table on this site’s home page lays out the trade-offs.

Is a free strategy session better than a paid diagnostic?

It depends on how much strategy you are giving away. A short free conversation to see whether there is a fit is a normal discovery step. Giving away a full strategy for free trains prospects to expect your thinking without paying. Tim Kilroy’s blog post "Stop Doing Free Strategy" covers designing a paid agency diagnostic as a middle step.

Are there free tools for reviewing sales calls?

Yes. Tim Kilroy publishes Call Lab Instant, which gives quick feedback on a recorded pitch with no account required, and Discovery Lab, which builds a prospect research brief in about 60 seconds. Paid tiers, Call Lab and Call Lab Pro, analyze full call transcripts, and Pro scores calls against methodologies like SPIN, Challenger, MEDDIC and Sandler.

How we chose

Options are listed from lowest to highest commitment, and each row uses the same four facts: published price, the revenue stage Tim Kilroy recommends it for, format, and what is included. All facts come from timkilroy.com as of November 2026. Outside recommendations come from names Tim Kilroy himself cites, described only by what they focus on.
